Cisco Senior Nutriton Program helps to serve meals to those who are 60 years of age or older, and/or are physically unable to prepare a well-balanced meal each day and live within a 5-mile radius of Cisco. If you are in need of this service, please give us a call at (254) 4425420.

Cisco 1961 Class Reunion will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at First Baptist Activity Center, Cisco next door to First Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 10:00 Coffee and Doughnuts, 1:00 p.m. Lunch.

Cisco Elementary New Student Registration will be held Tuesday, July 25 at Cisco Elementary School

Everyone is invited to ‘A Night about Wellness’ on Thursday, July 20th at 6:00 p.m., at Myrtle Wilks Community Center. You are sure to leave motivated, in control and excited about your future health.

Cisco Police were called to a local residence on July 7, 2023 in response to a man being shot. Upon arrival officers performed CPR on the man who had been shot in the neck area with a handgun. Subsequently, EMS personnel arrived but all attempts to save the man were unsuccessful.

By: Sierra Wells The Eastland Historic Hotel has completed renovations and welcomed a brand new coffee shop to its building.

The Eastland County Retired Teachers Association awarded four scholarships to Eastland, Cisco, Gorman, and Ranger seniors for 2023. Each scholarship recipient received a $500 scholarship to attend Cisco College or Ranger College.

The Eastland County Community Choir, along with the Eastland County Community Band, will be presenting a patriotic music concert on Saturday, July 8, at Ranger College, in the school’s new auditorium at 6:00pm, with free admission for all.

The Eastland Youth Cheerleading Association is about to bring spirit to the forefront in Eastland County.

Cody Hutchinson has been named a winner in the International Tonal Composer’s Festival that will take place in Brasilia, Brazil this July and August. He has written an original orchestral composition entitled “Who We Are” that will have it’s world premiere performed by the Brazilian National Orchestra, Brazil’s leading orchestra.

Kennedy Financial Services sponsored The Engineering and Art program at the library. It was an overwhelmingly exciting day. We had 163 people sign in. The children that attended created art masterpieces from cardboard. They made a candle light up using paper circuits. Bridges and buildings were built with Keva planks. They painted rocks that were donated by U.S. Sand and Gravel. Catapults were built and pom-poms were flying across the room. Bones of mice and shrews were found inside owl pellets. Ozobots moved across table tops.
