Kennedy Financial Services sponsored The Engineering and Art program at the library. It was an overwhelmingly exciting day. We had 163 people sign in. The children that attended created art masterpieces from cardboard. They made a candle light up using paper circuits. Bridges and buildings were built with Keva planks. They painted rocks that were donated by U.S. Sand and Gravel. Catapults were built and pom-poms were flying across the room. Bones of mice and shrews were found inside owl pellets. Ozobots moved across table tops.
The volunteers were amazing! There are 4 high school students that consistently volunteer at our events. We had 2 adults volunteer at a last minute request. The library staff is thankful for all of our volunteers and to all of the adults who bring the children to us. We definitely could not do all we do without them.
