Rain and sunshine certainly are natures miracle grow combination. I think I need to mow my yard almost once a week. New trees and flowers are growing at a rapid pace as well. Vegetable gardens are producing some beautiful squash, tomatoes, and everything else! I especially appreciate those folks with gardens that share!

Miss Gorman 2023 Pageant held Saturday
Miss, Jr. Miss and Little Miss Gorman 2023 were crowned Saturday evening in the Gorman ISD Auditorium. This year a small change was announced; a Peanut Festival Queen was also crowned. The contestants raised $5,589.30 total for Gorman community projects. Notice is hereby given that the Gorman City Commission will meet in Regular Session at 5:30 p.m. in the Gorman Community Center Meeting Room at 118 S. Kent St. Gorman, on June 1, 2023, to consider the following agenda items: 1. Opening Prayer, followed by Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge, Attendance 2. Call the Meeting to Order 3. Swearing in of Commissioners 4. Approve the Minutes of the Previous Meeting 5. Approve the Bills for Payment 6. Citizens Forum and Input Maximum 5 Minutes 7. Reports From Department Heads 8. 2nd Reading of Ordinance #2023-06-01 An Ordinance Adopting a Budget for Fiscal Year 2023-24; a) Consider expenditures/revenues for the upcoming year 9. Discuss and Consider Amending Ordinance #2022-01-06 Animal Control: Revise Numbers, Indoor Only License, Lot Size, Etc 10. Mayor’s Report and Update and Discuss Future Agenda Items for Consideration Posted by order of the Gorman City Commission on May 26, 2023 of the above and foregoing agenda items, which require action, may be acted upon by the City Commission.
