Slowpoke Farm has been gardening, chemical free, in Eastland county for over 20 years. After selling at farmer’s markets for 15 years, and running a small restaurant in Cisco for 5 years, Kerry and Joy Hedges have slowed things down a notch. While they have downsized the farm, they still enjoy sharing their experiences and ‘lessons learned’ with others.

John Guandolo, the president and founder of Understanding the Threat can inform us, Mr. Guandolo graduated from the Naval Academy, served in the Marines, is a combat veteran, a special agent to the FBI and has experience analyzing the Islamic threat. John Guandolo teaches about terrorism in our streets in our homeland. Mr. Guandolo spoke with the Tea Party Patriots of Eastland county in November 2020. I look forward to hearing from John Guandolo because I have concerns about our government leaders and our open border. FORT WORTH, TEXAS, January 30, 2024 – Avery Walton, a FFA member from Cisco, captured Reserve Champion Southdown Ewe with NSLS 23117 in the Junior Breeding Sheep Show at the 2024 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) on January 21. The 2024 Show is hosting junior exhibitors from across Texas competing for awards and more than $28,486 in Junior Breeding Sheep Show premiums.

Terri Widener, a Cisco native, is well known for her Bambi eyes, her passion in honoring veterans, and her desire to let people know about the hidden treasures of the Cisco College Library.

The Cisco Lady Loboes and the Gorman Lady Panthers can officially say it what everyone already knew. They are among the best basketball programs in the Lone Star State.

The Cisco Fire Department is proud to announce Firefighter Ashley Perez will be promoted to Captain on February 20, 2024, and will take over B Shift. Perez has been with the fire department since April of 2020. Congratulations!
