Bi-District Playoffs Cisco Loboes vs Reagan County @Big Spring THURSDAY, Nov. 14 7 p.m.
Kelli says she is "very big on community involvement." In a perfect world, "I would love for us to sponsor a pumpkin patch for Halloween for the community where everyone could come, like elementary schools come out and go through the pumpkin patch and take pictures and such." She has already visited a quilt shop downtown about a Saturday session where students who sign up could sew drawstring backpacks or pillowcases. And she has already talked with the owner of Muddy Mike's about hosting a pool tournament for students. "I know it's a bar and grill, but obviously the students will not be drinking because they're not old enough." She said a pool tournament will be scheduled at Muddy Mike's on a Monday night sometime in the near future. Kelli is keeping a book of "crazy ideas" for keeping students on campus entertained. She has already made some improvements in the SUB, like placing a huge puzzle table which she built in the student lounge and installing a coffee bar where students, faculty, and staff can enjoy a free cup of coffee or hot chocolate from 9 to 11 a.m. every morning.
