The Hawley Bearcats rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on Friday and powered their way to a 41-0 victory over Cisci in a key District 4-2A showdown.
With the win, Hawley improved to 8-0 for the season and, more importantly, stayed in a tie with Stamford for the 4-2A lead. Hawley and Stamford will square off for the district title in Week 10 in Stamford. Cisco slipped to 5-3 overall and to 1-2 in district action.
The Loboes, who are scheduled to play Anson on Friday at Anson at 7 p.m., managed just 139 ranked Bearcats. Dillon Silva led all CHS rushers with 52 yards on eight attempts. Parker Williams added 31 yards on 11 tries. Kelton Desmend carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards.
