Eastland Baptist Church welcomes their new pastor, Steve Hill and his wife Karen. Pastor Hill graduated from Norris Bible Baptist Seminary in May of 1996. He began pastoring in March of 1997 in Graham, Texas at the Calvary Baptist Church.

Eastland ISD is proud to announce that Eastland High School is a 2022-2023 National Beta School of Distinction. The school earned this recognition by increasing their club’s membership by at least 10% from last year.

The 2023 Earl and Billye Bradley Wellness Center’s Glow Run was held at Eastland Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 12th, at 08:30 PM. 98 participants wearing glowing jewelry, hats and glasses made it a family fun event! We had 310 consignors and 65 buyers. Packer cows were $2-$3 higher. Packer bulls were $2-$4 higher. Young replacement cows and pairs were steady with a good demand. The market for steers and heifers weighing 500# and under were steady to strong. The market for steers and heifers weighing over 500# were $3-$6 higher. We had a good run of cattle with the market being higher on all classes of cattle.

Unless you have been in Alaska the past month or so, you know it has been H O T here in Eastland. And we do mean HOT! With the high temps, and no air conditioning, the Eastland County Museum has had to close until cooler weather prevails. It is just too warm inside the building without ac for our volunteers to work.
