Forget the 1927 New York Yankees and the 1960s Boston Celtics, the team most opposing coaches fear the most may well be the Cisco Lady Loboes’ track and field squad.
The Cisco High School boys’ and girls’ track teams both turned in solid showings at the Golden Shoe Relays in Clyde Last Thursday. Both squads finished fourth in their respective team standings.
Cisco, Texas – April 3, 2023 – Cisco College Lady Wrangler Softball swept the Ranger College Lady Rangers on Saturday, 5-4 and 7-0 giving Wrangler head coach, Joel Prickett, his 700th career win.

Braley Brunson powered her ay to four medals on Thursday, including a pir of gold in the field, and spurred the Cisco Lady Loboes to the top of the team standings at the 2023 Eastland High School Relays. Cisco rolled up a meet-high 205 points and easily edged out Breckenridge for the top spot. Eastland finished third overall.
This past week, the Ranger College Men's Basketball Team earned a trip to the National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Some of the top track and field athletes in the area will converge on Cisco this week for the running of the annual Cisco Lobo Relays. The day-long meet will be held Thursday at Chesley Field.

Delburt Schaefer was a gifted Cisco athlete who was QB of two winning football teams—1958 and 1959. He started on defense as a freshman, and was All-District in five sports his senior year, winning him a football scholarship to Texas Tech. His Freshman year at Tech they went undefeated. His teammate for 7 years in Cisco, Charles Lipsey, was also on that team.

The Cisco Loboes will tip off the Class 2A boys’ playoffs tonight when they face off against Archer City in the bi-district round.
The Cisco Lady Loboes saw their 202223 basketball season come to an end this past weekend after dropping a close 5043 decision to the No. 2-ranked Lipan Lady Indians in the area round of the Class 2A state basketball playoffs.
The Cisco Loboes struggled to get their offense in gear on Friday. And it resulted in the Albany Lions being able to sneak away with a 46-33 decision in a key District 10-2A showdown, With the loss, Cisco slipped to 8-3 in district play and, more importantly, fell to third in the 102A standings behund Hawley and Albany. The Loboes are now 20-7 overall.
Braley Brunson poured in 21 points and Justive Fox added 15 more this past weekend and rolled to an impressive 60-41 romp over the Hawley Bearcats in a key District 10-2A showdown.
