It’s been too long since a Turkey Dinner was hosted by the Cottonwood Historical Association. It’ll be at the Cottonwood Community Center on Friday, October 27th with dinner starting at 5:00 PM. The Ranger Veterans Support Group members Larry Monroe and Butch Seymour along with Boy Scout Troop 103 of Eastland, VFW Post 4136 of Eastland, and Aubrey Perrella paid tribute to the men and women who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

The freshman defensive back tackled a Perrin receiver at the Ranger 2 as time expired off the clock to preserve a wild 42-41 victory over Perrin-Whitt despite lightning and high winds. The Pirates’ had attempted a last-second 35-yard pass on fourth down in an attempt to steal a win in front of a large P-WHS crowd.
