Patricia Ann Rhoton went to her heavenly home May 11, 2023.
Patricia was born to Billy D. and Canna Mae Rudd, April 3, 1939, in Brownwood, TX. The Family moved to Big Spring in 1949.
Pat, as most people knew her was a full-time wife and mom to three. In 1976 she graduated from UTPB with a degree in Education, she was a teacher for Big Spring Independent School District for twenty-five years. During her tenure she was named to the Who's Who of American Teachers in 1990 and 1998. After retiring she taught the GED program at the Federal Prison in Big Spring for several years. Teaching was only one of Pat's passions, she was very involved in her church home, singing in the choir, a member of the Bell Choir and of course teaching from the young to a "65 to Glory" class.
Pat married the love of her life, David A Rhoton, June 21, 1957. They had a blessed, almost, 66 years together raising 3 children; Rhonda (Ronnie) Pollard, Craig (Linda) and Kevin (Misty) Rhoton. They were further blessed with 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, 3 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law.
Pat is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two brothers and wives, one brother-in-law and many other family and friends.
Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Lake Leon Baptist Church; visitation will begin at 8:30 until 9:30. Cemetery service will follow at Staff Cemetery, in Eastland, Texas.
