Cisco, Texas - April 24, 2023 – Cisco College’s Head Rodeo Coach Don Ed Eddleman was named regional Coach of the Year, and four members of Cisco’s Rodeo Team qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) this past weekend at the Tarleton State Rodeo in Stephenville.
The four qualifiers headed to the national finals are: Payton Scalzo, Tyler Bauerle, Dylan Hancock, and Cooper Freeman. They will compete June 1117 in Casper, Wyoming. Payton Scalzo of Stephenville is a CNFR qualifier in the Breakaway Roping. She is currently a Senior at Cisco College and has been a vital part of the team for the past two years. After this weekend’s rodeo at Tarleton State University, Payton is sitting Third in the Breakaway Roping. Tyler Bauerle of Jourdanton is a CNFR qualifier in the Steer Wrestling. He is going into the CNFR sitting second in the Southwest Region. He will be returning to Cisco next year to compete on the Rodeo Team.
Dylan Hancock of San Angelo is a CNFR qualifier in the Team Roping (Heeler). He and his Team Roping partner, Will Eddleman, both ended up third in the Region. Dylan is a Freshman at Cisco College and will be back next year on the Cisco College Rodeo Team.
