I hope the hail we received didn’t ruin everyone’s gardens. We were fortunate at our house and the large hail was very sparce. We do appreciate the rain though that came with it and the rain we’ve received since. Vicki and I have been busy trimming trees and bushes and planting some flowers and trying to stay ahead of the weeds in the yard and flower beds.
I hope everyone that needed the tire roll off got to use it last Saturday. Stacks of old tires are unsightly and endanger the environment providing a place for standing water and a breeding ground for mosquitoes and a hiding place for snakes. Also, please remember that if you see a property that is overgrown or in violation of any of our city ordinances, you may go to the city office and file a complaint and our city judge will address the matter. You will need the name of the owner of the property and address and describe the violation.
Also, remember your neighbors! If they need a little help getting their place fixed up or mowed, consider giving them a hand. It will do your heart good and be greatly appreciated!
