On May 3, at the Leon River Cowboy Church, the Highway 6 4-H Club met for the last regular meeting of the year.
Falconers, Mark and Liana Winters Smith brought their Harris Hawk, Kimber, and gave a great presentation about falconry. She taught club members how to care for the birds, train them, and how to make sure they stay healthy to continue to work. Birds have been used for hunting for thousands of years.
This program was very informative and fun. We apappreciate members Emma and Augustus Ensey for providing the program for this month’s meeting.
