William Charles Kierre, 84, passed from this life on April 29, 2023, at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
William, known to his friends and family as Bill, was born on June 20, 1938 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to John Kierre and Mary Deller Kierre. Bill graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1957. While still finishing high school, Bill made his first answer of his country’s call to service with the Arkansas Army National Guard. He followed that with a transfer to active duty in the United States Army in 1958. He achieved the rank of Sergeant serving as a Light Infantryman stateside and overseas in Korea, including a tour as a basic training drill instructor. After almost a decade of military service, Bill returned home to Arkansas in 1964 and continued his service to the public in another capacity; that of an Arkansas State Trooper. Following this, Mr. Kierre enjoyed a long career as a truck driver bringing him eventually to Cisco. After retiring in 1990, he busied himself with an affinity for gardening and lawn care, all while continuing his service to community and fellowship as a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Cisco.
Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Johnnie Kierre, Jim Kierre, Lee Kierre, and Barbara Kierre Hines.Unfortunately, he was also preceded by his granddaughter, Chloe Elisabeth Lindsey, his “Puttcake,” to whom he now swiftly flies, to skip along hand-in-hand once more.
