Livi Whitehill and Reagan Bruner both soared to gold medals last Thursday and helped the Cisco Lady Loboes breeze the Area 8-9 Track and Field Championships at Newton Field in Graham.
Whitehill and Bruner claimed two of the Lady Loboes’ 17 medals at the meet and helped Cisco roll up a meet-high 159 points. The Lady Loboes finished 49 points ahead of Windthorst, which placed second in the team standings at 110.
One place Cisco starred was in the relays. The Lady Loboes placed in the top three in all three events and rolled up 40 points. Whitehill, Angel Raygosa, Lexi Taylor and Brooklyn Speer gave Cisco a second-place finish in the 4x100-meter race by legging out a time of 52.30 seconds.
