Forget the 1927 New York Yankees and the 1960s Boston Celtics, the team most opposing coaches fear the most may well be the Cisco Lady Loboes’ track and field squad.
The Lady Loboes, backed by wins in six events, breezed to the District 8-2A track championship last Friday. Cisco rolled up a staggering 212 points and finished more than 80 points ahead of its nearest competitor en route to winning the district crown. Stamford was a distant second in the girls’ standings with 130.
The Lady Wolves were dominant in the field events. Cisco won three events and had athletes finish in the top three in two others.
