Cisco, Texas - April 10, 2022 – Cisco College is Excited to announce Stephen Lee as the new Wrangler head football coach. Lee brings a wealth of experience to the position, having led the Abilene Christian University Wildcats to an appearance in the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference championship game in his first year in conference. Lee served as the Wildcats’ offensive coordinator.
Before joining ACU, Lee worked at various NCAA Division II and Division III programs, including Western New Mexico University, West Texas A&M University, Howard Payne University, and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Lee’s tenure at Mary Hardin Baylor was particularly successful, as he orchestrated the offense for three Division III national championships in 2016, 2018, and 2021.
Dr. Jerry Dodson, Cisco College Vice President of Student Services / Athletic Director, expressed his enthusiasm for Lee’s appointment, saying “In addition to his coaching pedigree, Coach Lee has a proven track record, and will build a culture that develops young men on and off the field. He is the right fit to grow this program and lead Cisco College Wrangler Football into this next Southwest Junior College Football Conference season and into the future.”
