Monday was the opening day of the Property Evaluation Assessment Session to determine the Property considered for Tax Purpose for the various locations which determines
what the appraised district budget will be considered.
One citizen mistakenly stated how the tax rates will be set. “Wrong” said Assessor Randy Clark quickly clarified— “we don’t set the taxes.— We determine the valuation— we just furnish the amount used to determine tax— depending on which taxing district ones property is located.
