Brunson leads Lady Loboes to top in Eastland

Braley Brunson powered her ay to four medals on Thursday, including a pir of gold in the field, and spurred the Cisco Lady Loboes to the top of the team standings at the 2023 Eastland High School Relays. Cisco rolled up a meet-high 205 points and easily edged out Breckenridge for the top spot. Eastland finished third overall.

Brunson made her presence felt early on. She won the girls’ shot put and discus events with ease. In the shot put, she recorded a throw of 31 feet, 11 inches. Her winning toss in the discus competition was 113-10 – more than 13 feet farther that teammate Justice Fox, who finished second at 100-9.

Brunson also starred on the track. She was second to Eastland’s Cylea Carper in the 100-meter hurdles standings with a time of 17.47 seconds, and third in the 300-meter hurdles at 51.80.
