Leland Lane Hornsby Obituary

Eastland – Leland Lane Hornsby, age 90, of Eastland departed this earth life into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

A service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland, 411 S. Mulberry St, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Friday, preceding the service.

Leland was born October 1, 1932 in Delaware, Ohio to John Hornsby and Hazel Penn. He married Velma Pattison on September 1, 1955 in Marengo, Ohio.  She preceded him in death May 16, 2017.  He loved both of his church families at Lake Leon Baptist Church and Cisco Nazarene Church.

He leaves behind two sons, Roger Hornsby, and Ray Hornsby and wife Chris; a daughter, Ronda Garrett and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Sharelynn Drummonds, Jacob Hornsby and wife Morgan, Paislee Valdez, Mason Hornsby and wife Montana, Jessica Garrett, Madeline Johnson and husband Garrett, Jeff Peterson and wife Susie; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Hornsby and wife Ellen; and numerous nephews and nieces.
