FROM THE GORMAN MAYOR

Hot and cold, I think I’m ready for some consistency. But that will never happen in Texas. What can happen though is that everyone can mow their weeds and any grass that is too high. I drove around town over the weekend, and we are looking pretty shaggy. It’s been nice this winter not having to worry about mowing, but that time is over. Please take the initiative and start cleaning up.

If you have any fruit trees you might want to have a tarp or tarps ready to cover them in case of a late freeze. The same goes for your gardens and a late freeze is very possible.

If you have trimmed trees and need the city to come by and chip up the limbs, please contact the city so they can put you on the list. They do not do large limbs. Three to four inches diameter is probably the larges the chipper will handle. But, we do have a large roll off by the old fire station where you may take large limbs and other household items that will not fit in your poly cart. Also, If it’s not in your poly cart, Republic will not pick it up!
