Ralph M. Cain,82, of Ranger, TX passed peacefully at his home February 25th, 2023.
Ralph was born in Sallis, Mississippi on June 16, 1940 to Sam and Nellie Cain.
Ralph worked many jobs over the years. He owned and operated a Mobile Home dealership as well as owning and operating Lakeside Country Club in Eastland for many years.
Ralph retired early and he and the love of his life Sandy, were able to embark on many adventures, traveling to 49 U.S. States and Mexico. They loved Colorado and spent many summers in Pagosa Springs. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman and card player. He enjoyed just about anytime spent outdoors, camping, fishing and most of all playing golf. He enjoyed sharing in all outdoor activities with his friends and family. He had a green thumb which produced many magnificent vegetable gardens over the years and always generously shared his harvest with friends and family. He was especially fond of the Monday Night BooRay/ Poker group and his 1:00 Tee group. Ralph also had a talent for dog training and had some of the best-behaved dogs around.
Ralph is preceded in death by his beloved Sandra Truran, daughter Evelyn Hopson, brothers Louis Cain, Robert Cain, Sam Oliver Cain Jr., James Cain and William Foster, sisters Sarah Van Tuinen and Mary Martin, Mother Nellie Cain Foster and Father Sam Oliver Cain.
Ralph is survived by his children Ralph M. and Melissa Cain Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Tammy and Ken Smith of Madison, MS, Jeff and Shellye Truran of Eastland, TX, Mike and Vickie Truran of Eastland, TX, Kim and J.R. McCormick of Eastland, TX and brother Victor and Teresa Cain of Vicksburg, MS. His grandchildren Whitney (Adam) Davidson, Ryan (Katie) Truran, Taylor Truran, Blake (Fiancé Mackenzie) Truran, Shawn (Fiancé Jamie) Truran, Justin (Tiffany) Bays, Ashley Clark, Morgan Burris (Kyle) Swinford, John Austin Burris, Kylie Cain, and Trey Moore and his very special great grandchildren Cobie and Callen, Emma and Ava, Haisley, Alexandra, Caden and Jasmine, Kylie, Chase and Brooklyn, and Graham.
He is also survived by his faithful fur baby, golf buddy and companion Lady.
We will honor Ralph with a celebration of life at Lakeside Country Club on April 7th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to:
