Reda Cannistraci Obituary

Reda Cannistraci passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, surrounded by family, at the age of 84. Reda was born November 18, 1940 in Nimrod to James R. and Alpha Ogle Hogan.  She graduated from Rising Star High School in 1959, and married Charles D. Cannistraci Sr. February 19, 1960.  Reda worked at the Cisco High School Cafeteria until 2004, and in addition, volunteered for meals on wheels, sang in the choir at the Methodist Church and volunteered for Mama Tank’s Bingo. She loved quilting, gardening and watching her grandkids participate in various activities at Cisco High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Cannistraci, Sr., both parents and four sisters. Survivors include children Sheron and Chris Mellette of Cisco, Charles, Jr. and Leslie  Cannistraci of Eastland, Colleen Cannistraci of Cisco and Chad and Brandi Cannistraci of Eastland; grandchildren Amber and Garrett Hicks of Snyder, Stephanie and Seth Griffin of Cisco and their children Tristian and Gryder,  Aaron and Korri Mellette of Eastland and their son Canaan, Rebecca and Aaron Edrington of Humble and their children Joseph and Rose, Joshua and Amber Long of Brownwood and their children Haley, Hagen, Harmony, Hazel and Hudson, and Ashlynn Mellette of Lubbock. Services were held Thursday, April 10, 2025  at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, with Jared Johnson officiating.  Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
