Yozlyn Ojeda helped the Eastland Lady Mavericks snap a 2-game losing streak on Friday with a shot that rocked the large crowd on hand at the Eastland Sports Complex.
The EHS standout keyed a 6-run outburst with a grand slam to left that handed Eastland a 9-1 come-from-behind victory.
With the win, Eastland ran its season record to 14-8 and, more importantly, kept the Lady Mavs a half game ahead of Comanche for second in the District 8-3A standings. The EHS girls are now 7-3 in district, while Comanche is 6-3.
