Lady Mavs collect 15 hits in come-from-behind win over Tolar

The Eastland High School Lady Mavericks scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning on Saturday and rallied to claim an 11-6 victory over the Tolar Lady Rattlers in a key District 8-3A showdown.

As part of the Lady Mavs’ win, the team taxed the Tolar pitching staff for 15 hits, and forced Tolar to commit 10 errors in the field.

Tolar flashed the bats first. After Eastland had scratched out a run in the top of the first, the Lady Rattlers strung together a couple of clutch hits in the home half of the frame and pushed four runs across the plate. They tacked on two more in the third and built a 6-2 lead heading into the fourth.
