Thomas Mitchell Harris, known as Mitchell, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on March 12, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1948, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Thomas Cisero “T.C.” Harris III and Rosalie (Gilland) Harris, whose work ethic, moral character, and dedication to family shaped the man he became.
Mitchell earned his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education from Tarleton State University, often referring to it as the "Harvard on the Bosque." He dedicated over 40 years of his life to his passion for agriculture, working as a Farm and Land Banker with the Production Credit Association, which later merged into AgTexas. His commitment to the agricultural community in Texas was unwavering, and he deeply respected his colleagues and clients.
He and his wife, Pat, built a life together grounded in shared values, mutual respect, and a strong partnership. Above all, Mitchell was deeply grateful for Pat’s dedication to their girls and the care she provided him, especially in his later years.
