On March 3, the Ranger High School One Act Play company traveled to Stephenville for district OAP competition with their play, “The Dancers” by Horton Foote. The play is about a teenage boy who is forced to go to a dance with the most popular girl in town. It explores
themes of confidence, popularity, and attraction, and it also teaches a lesson on bravery.
At this contest, the Ranger students performed with great success, placing second overall and earning the chance to compete at the Bi-District level. They also earned many individual honors, including: Logan Zarate- Best Performer; Logan Girtz-All-Star Cast; June Hurst- All-Star Cast; Andrea King- All-Star Cast Honorable Mention; Brystal Pittman-All-Star Cast Honorable Mention; Jamie Nichols- Technical Award.
