By Tommy Wells The Neches Lady Tigers found the perfect way to spoil Valentine’s Day for the Gorman Lady Panthers. The NHS girls scored a basket late in the fourth quarter and then held on to clam a stunning 34-32 victory over thirdranked Gorman in the second round of the Class A state playoffs.
With the loss, Gorman finished its 2024-25 season with a 31-4 record. Neches improved to 20-7.
The Lady Panthers opened their showdown with a bang. Gorman outscored the Lady Tigers by an 11 -3 clip in the first quarter.
