The Seymour Lady Panthers did the unthinkable on Monday in front of a large crowd in the Mineral Wells High School gym. The Lady Panthers buried a three-pointer from the wing with less than 3 seconds left in regulation and eked out a shocking 50-49 come-from-behind win over sixth-ranked Cisco in a bi-district playoff showdown.
With the win, Seymour will advance to the area round of the postseason to face either Bosqueville or Hamilton. The District 10-2A champion, Cisco finished its season at 26- 5.
The Lady Loboes got off to a string start. Jayla Pittman and Katelyn Bailey both pumped in clutch sots in the opening minutes and carried the Lady Loboes to a 10-4 lead heading into the second quarter.
