Dennis Ray Goosen, 77, passed on February 5, 2025 at home in Cisco, Texas.
Dennis was born July 1, 1947 in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of Orville and Florine Goosen. He graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was a trustee and member of the Administrative Board at First United Methodist Church in Cisco for many years. He was a farmer and rancher by heart and skilled carpenter by trade. He was married and widowed by Dana Janelle (Jobe) Goosen, his loving wife of 42 years, who preceded him in death in 2011. He is survived by Kathleen Smith of Wichita Falls, his loving and compassionate partner for the last six years of his life.
He is survived by a brother, Wayne Goosen and wife Sherry of Smithton, Missouri; sons Matthew and Bradley Goosen of Cisco; niece Lindsey Conardy of Sedalia, Missouri; nephew Mason Goosen of Smithton, Missouri; He has one grandson, Dal Ray Goosen of Abilene, Texas; three aunts, Alice Lee, Danna Balke and Geraldine Goosen along with many cousins.
