Students in Eastland County and the surrounding area are presented generous scholarships each year, which provides the opportunity to continue the study of music on their chosen instruments.
A particularly well program presented in Eastland County was the annual performance school children in 5th and 6th grades. Buses would arrive from all the Majestic Theatre in Eastland. Ms. Whiddon described observing one young lady, who apparently had not heard the kind of music being performed before: “She became spellbound. It was moving, life changing.”
