Eastland boys, girls drop games to Comanche

By Tommy Wells The Comanche Indians used a late 12-2 run on tough 41-24 victory over the Eastland Mavericks Eastland, backed by a solid outing from Gary Hays, had fought its way to within seven early in the fourth before a late run by the Tribe sealed the deal.

With the loss, the Mavericks slipped to 2-18 for the season and to 1-6 in district play.

Comanche got off to a fast start, scoring 17 of the Trailing 17-5 at the Mavs rallied. Hays and key three-point shots in the second and helped Eastland reel off an 8-2 run to start the frame. The run helped EHS move to within 19-15.
