Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for December, 6.8 percent more than in December 2023.
These allocations are based on sales made in October by businesses that report tax monthly.
Eastland received 12.38% more in net payment this period and 3.24% more in the payment year to date. The Comptroller’s RIFH UHSRUWHG D QHW payment to Eastland this period as $174,997.15, and the comparable payment prior year as $155,712.24. Payment year to date was given as $2,147,693.31 - prior year payment YTD as $2,080,094.32. Eastland’s rate is 1.500%.
