By Tommy Wells The Gorman Lady Panthers nailed down a huge victory on Friday, downing state-ranked Huckabay easily in a key district showdown. Gorman rode the hot hands of Delila Crain to a 42-28 victory.
With the win, the Lady Panthers took control of the district race by improving to 2-0. Huckabay slipped to 1 -1.
Crain and the GHS girls got off to a solid start against Huckabay. They outscored the Lady Indians by a 12-3 clip in the first 8 minutes and never looked back. A 15-9 run in the second sent the Lady Panthers into the half with a 27-12 cushion.
