Ranger’s YTD Sales Tax Payment Increases

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for November, 1.1 percent more than in November 2023.

These allocations are based on sales made in September by businesses that report tax monthly and on sales made in July, August and September by quarterly filers.

Ranger sales tax rate: 2.000%. Net Payment this period: $56,536.81. Comparable payment prior year: $63,552.67. Change: 11.03%. Payments YTD: $584,336.09. Prior year payments: $440,727.83.
