Eastland County Sports Stamford ends Loboes’ play off run in third round
The Cisco Loboes’ 55-7 loss to the Stamford Bulldogs on Friday in the third round of the Class 2A Division I state playoffs wasn’t so much of a case of Stamford being better. It was a case of Stamford having a better day.
A much better day. Stamford blocked a punt in the opening minutes of the contest and scored twice in the first 5 minutes. It never got any better for Cisco in their quest to become the lone No. 4 seed to reach the state quarterfinals. Overall, No. 1-ranked Stamford rolled up more than 400 total yards en route to earning the right to face Post in the fourth round.
