Ronald Ellis Burns, age 74, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born to John Henry Burns and Violet Edith (Frye) Parker on July 29, 1950. Ronald loved listening to Elvis Presley and watching western movies featuring John Wayne. He took part in bowling at the Special Olympics for many years in Abilene, Texas and won several medals. He had a special collection of dolls that included Elvis Presley and characters from The Wizard of Oz. More than anything, he loved his family.
He is survived by his sister, Carol Burk; brother, Wayne & wife Donna Burns; nieces Lisa Langston, Sherri & husband Steve Isham, Ashley & husband David Balcazar, and Debbie Burns; nephews James & wife Shylia Burns and David Burns; great nieces Kammi Langston, Courtney Eason, Brittany & Jake Emeterio, Kelci Isham, Lily Isham, Ellie Isham; great nephews Justin & wife Jessica Langston, Luke Isham, Justin & wife Bailey Eason, and Braden Balcazar; numerous great-great nieces and nephews and a special family caregiver, Michael Kelly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Burns and Violet Edith (Frye) Parker; brother, Roy Gene Burns; brother-in-law, Jack Burk; and nephew, Matthew Langston.
