Just how did the “hand-craft” Horn Toad rag doll come to be the “portable” stand-in for the actual horn frog (or toad) come to be?
Well, it happened like this years ago— The Editor in his regular weekly newspaper column on a certain day decided to inquire just wondered how Walt Disney got so much out of the creation of “an industry” out of creating popular doll replica of cartoon Mickey Mouse stuffed dolls, designing feature stories about the “doings” of the ‘doll creatures, one story after another of the life-like toy-sized creatures— which became INSTANT child favorites— and turned that amusement features into a million-dollar industry- entertainment all about the dolls features. And from there it evolved into a billion- dollar enterprise, on the back of the DOLLS which multiplied, doubled and made the owner the toy mice-characters! Why couldn’t we design a loveable stuffed horned frog.
And a new comer to this area, after her husband retired and she was bored not having anything to occupy her time in this nice place to live— but she had hours to keep busy.
