Following discovery of previously unknown City Debt nearing $800,000
My Statement: I want to clarify that my comments represent my views alone, not those of the council. As a neighbor, classmate, and fellow taxpayer, I share your anger and frustration about our current situation.
My delay in making an official statement was to gather accurate information, and I acknowledge I should have communicated sooner. Here’s a comprehensive summary of my findings and actions taken: On September 24, I was contacted by a whistleblower who revealed that the Cisco Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) had not received its tax allocations from the city for several months. The total amount overdue, which includes payments due for June, July, August, and September, reached over $360,000. This alarming information prompted me to seek answers immediately.
