Tx Comptroller Distributes $1.1 Billion in Monthly Sales Tax Revenue

Cities of Gorman, Ranger see payment increases

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special puipose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for October 2024, 1.2 percent less than in October 2023. These allocations are based on sales made in August by businesses that report tax monthly.

Gorman - Sales tax percent allocated - 2.000%; Allocations this period - $17,119.75; Comparable Payment Prior Year - $14,867.72; Percent Change: 15.14%; Total Payments YTD - $179,738.42; Total Prior Year Payments YTD $157,533.85; Percent Change: 14.09%.
