Kaston Vega rushed for 109 yards and four touchdowns on Friday and helped carry the Stamford Bulldogs to a 41-14 victory over the Cisco Loboes at Bulldog Stadium.
With the win, Stamford kicked off its District 4-2A schedule with a huge victory. Ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, the Bulldogs improved to 7-0. Cisco slipped to 4-2 and, more importantly, dipped to 0-11 in district play.
Vega highlighted a solid performance by the Stamford ground attack. As a tea, Stamford rushed for 235 yards on 29 carries Stamford quarterback Christian Duran also had a solid outing, throwing for 141 yards against a CHS defense that has been rock solid all season.
