The Austin McCloud - Appellate Court Museum will now be open during its revised schedule – Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
“Our museum and the Eastland County Museum have different, but complementary roles”, said Sherry Williamson, head of the McCloud Museum. “It makes sense for the two museums to be open at the same time, so we adjusted our schedule to match the County Museum’s hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
Ms. Williamson added, “As far as we know, ours is the only museum dedicated to interpreting our appellate judicial system, admittedly a somewhat narrow subject. However, one can also learn about the history of Eastland County and the life and career of an exemplary jurist, Chief Justice Austin McCloud, when they drop by.”
