Rising Star Shuts Out Lingleville 20-0

The Rising Star Wildcats visited Lingleville last Friday and shutout the Cardinals 20-0.

After kicking off to Lingleville, the Wildcats forced a three and out. The Cardinal punt was downed at the Rising Star 22-yard line. Eight plays later the Wildcats were in the endzone scoring on a Manning Miller pass to Emerson Helmuth good for 13 yards. The Wildcat PAT kick was good for 2 points making the score 8-0 with 3:32 left in the first quarter. The big play in the drive was a 31-yard run by Payton Mc-Ginn.

The rest of the first half was a defensive battle as neither team could muster a sustained drive and the first half ended with Rising Star clinging to an 8-0 lead.
