RANGER TIMES

Amiee Hughes-Baker was bom and raised in Ranger but resided elsewhere for many years. Upon return, she noticed issues which she felt were keeping Ranger from being what it once had been and all it could be. She gave Ranger Lions Club an update on projects now underway to “create a sense of community” and bring fresh perspective to her home town. These included game nights, a fall festival on October 19 and Christmas party December 14. Everyone was interested in hearing about the project in progress to renovate vintage hotel rooms - possibly built in the 1920s on Ranger Hill - to their original condition. The investor for this location envisions a motel, truck stop and RV park, she noted. These updates were exciting to hear and contemplate.
