Cisco College’s Cam Vega Wins Manager of Year for Flying Bison

Cisco College now has two head baseball coaches on its Cisco campus. One, of course, is David White, head coach for more than 20 years. The other is his assistant coach, Cameron “Cam” Vega, who is head coach of the Abilene Flying Bison, a semi-pro team in Abilene which had its inaugural season this past summer.

The Abilene Flying Bison team is part of the Mid America League, which has five other teams: the Marshals of Fort Smith, Arkansas; the Outlaws of Joplin, Missouri; the Piney Woods Timberhogs of White Oak, Texas; the Shadowcats of Sherman, Texas; and the Rhinos of Texarkana, Texas.

In Coach Vega's first outing as a head coach, the Flying Bison won the championship of the regular season of 68 games with a record of 46-22, with Coach Vega being named Manager of the Year.
