Doris ‘Elaine’ Reynolds Strahan, age 78, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence in Cleburne, TX. She was born on December 25, 1945, to William Wright Reynolds, Sr. and Margaret Catherine Wuertele Reynolds in Austin, TX. Elaine has joined in Heaven the love of her life, Samuel ‘Wayne’ Strahan, Sr, whom she married on May 27, 1978, in McGregor, TX, and shared 45 beautiful years together before his passing on February 4, 2024.
She was a recognized and honored employee of Lockheed Martin and their F-22 Team. She also worked many years as an executive assistant at Hardin-Simmons University and as part owner of Strahan Enterprises.
Elaine loved her family and made sure they loved Jesus. She showed her love through the many homemade meals she served her large family and others. Those who knew her loved her and will miss her dearly. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carol Law Huard and husband Mark of Port Isabel, TX, and sons: Jeffrey Law of Venice, FL; Martin Strahan and wife Jan of Glen Rose, TX; Jonathan Law and wife San San of Friendswood, TX; and Samuel W. Strahan, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Along with her husband, Wayne, she was reunited in Heaven with her parents: William and Margaret; sister Catherine Reynolds Benner, and brother William ‘Billy’ Wright Reynolds, Jr.
The family appreciates the care Elaine received from the staff of Bristol Park at Cleburne Assisted Living & Memory Care, and Gateway Hospice Providers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, TX. Visitation will begin at 10 am Saturday.
