The universe is designed with both physical and moral laws. We do not live in a make-believe world but in a world of intelligent design. And that intelligent Designer is God. We couldn’t have a space program and ignore the law of gravity. We would not have bridges that span lakes and valleys without structural laws. We have moral law that establishes dignity and respect for each other. But a democracy, where the majority rules, will be destroyed if we attempt to remove moral law.
Rush Limbaugh said it well when he illustrated: “three men and one woman got onto an elevator. A motion was made to assault the woman. And the vote carried three to one.” Then he added: “Democracy cannot work without morality.”
The great problem in our blessed America is we are attempting to have actions without consequences. Protestors are still saying that abortion protects a woman’s life, knowing that while that procedure is going on, a life is being destroyed. The same people are saying that smash and grab is ok even if it bankrupts the owner. And business owners sadly watch their buildigs burned by evil people.
