The City of Gorman held a public hearing Thursday to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss Texas Department of Agriculture block grant programs and corresponding community needs with city officials.
Several citizens attended and agreed that the City of Gorman should pursue grants to further development and growth.
City Secretary Tacy Warren informed that the City had applied and been approved for the Downtown Revitalization Program. The grant, however, has not yet been awarded, she explained. This grant is for improvement of sidewalks and lighting in downtown.
