It’s that time of year when the rains and sunshine bring the RZHUV DQG EHDW WR our city. But, with the beauty comes the ugly as well. Ugly being the weeds that are growing out of the sidewalks, along the street curbs, parking areas and even on private properties.
The City does not have the licensing to apply weed control chemicals, the manpower or equipment to handle these issues within city right of ways, and asks property owners to help keep Eastland in the beauty zone by removing the weeds.
Eastland City ordinance requires owners to maintain their property to the street curb, or street if there is no curb, as well as their half of any alleyways along their property. Businesses along Main Street, around the square and throughout the city are to maintain to the street curbs and their alleyways. Won’t you help?
