Michael Curtis, Garrett Miles and Donny Carpenter will be back in the area this week. There is a Randy Travis Tribute this Thursday night in Abilene where Garrett will be singing along with some other top performers. It will be at the Paramount Theatre, starting at 7:30 pm, and all proceeds go to the Randy Travis Foundation which supports some wonderful charities. Randy and his wife Mary will be there.
A special treat for those of us in the Eastland area is that the group will be performing at The Bear Creek Tap House on the north side of the square in Eastland on Friday and Saturday nights. The music will start around 8 pm, and there is no cover charge. These are the same guys that brought Shenandoah here for the Fires of Love convert. They are world class musicians and put on a great show.
Michael Curtis has written songs for many years for numerous top performers. Michael was Randy Travis’s main song writer up until Randy’s stroke. He’s also written songs recorded by Shenandoah, Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Lee Ann Womack, Ricky Scaggs, Colin Raye and many others.
